Printing Tips and Tricks [Windows]

The 'paperless office'. We don't think so. You're probably printing more than ever. So how about a better way to do it?

Quick Print a Recently Used Document

Click Start -> My Recent Documents to hold open a list. Right-click the document you want and select "Print" from the resulting menu. The application will run, open the document, then print it.

Print Several Documents at Once

Open My Documents,or open another folder, as you wish. While holding down the CTRL key, choose the files you want to print (or CTRL+A to select all). Right-click one of the highlighted files and choose "Print". Each file will be opened in its correct program and printed automatically.

Speeding Up Your Printer

If your printer is printing slower than expected, your printer may need more memory. Typically the more you have, the faster your print jobs will be, especially when printing graphics. Most printers must store the data of an entire page before it can print it. Many printers come standard with 1MB of printer memory. For peak performance, try upgrading to 2MB, or better yet, 4MB of memory. Refer to your printer's manual for specifics on adding memory.
